Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
This policy explains what happens to the information you submit through the live verification demo on this site.
What we collect
- The first name, last name, state, and profession you enter into the verification form.
- Your IP address, used briefly and only in server memory to enforce a one-verification limit per visitor.
- A single cookie that records whether you've already used your one free verification.
How we use it
The information you submit is used solely to run the verification you requested: it is sent to the NPPES NPI Registry and the HHS-OIG List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (both public U.S. government data sources), and to Anthropic's Claude API, which coordinates the check and produces the verdict text you see on screen.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or share the names you submit with any third party for marketing purposes.
- We do not build profiles linking multiple visits together beyond the single rate-limiting cookie.
- We do not retain submitted names in a database — each request is processed and returned; it is not stored afterward.
Cookies
We set one HttpOnly cookie (cv_used) purely to enforce the one-verification-per-session limit. It contains no personal information and cannot be read by third-party scripts.
